Crafted from a single piece of spalted maple, this exquisite keepsake box measures approximately 3-3/4 inches wide by 2-1/2 inches tall. Both functional and artistic, it provides a beautiful place to store jewelry, cotton balls, paperclips, or other small treasures while serving as a unique piece of natural art.

The striking grain showcases nature’s artistry, with intricate lines, rich colors, and organic patterns created by the natural spalting process. Spalting occurs when fungi begin to break down wood during the early stages of decay. Once the wood is dried, the process stops, preserving these distinctive and highly sought-after markings.

The box is finished with walnut oil and hand-buffed with a blend of beeswax and carnauba wax, creating a smooth, lustrous surface that enhances the depth and beauty of the maple.

A one-of-a-kind piece for a home, office, or thoughtful gift, this box celebrates the unique character that only naturally spalted wood can provide.

Each box is handmade, and with proper care, it is designed to last for generations. Slight variations and natural imperfections are to be expected, reflecting the individuality and craftsmanship of every piece.
